River enables users to buy Bitcoin using their cash balance or directly via Bank Transfer (ACH). An instant buy is a purchase directly via Bank Transfer, in which River will credit your account with the bitcoin you purchased immediately and withdraw the cash from your bank account within 2-4 business days.
Executing an instant buy requires a linked bank account. If you have not previously linked a bank account, you can follow our guide on how to do so here.
1. After you have logged in, you can execute an instant buy by clicking "Buy Bitcoin" on the Overview page.
2. Next, please enter the amount of bitcoin, in U.S. dollars, you wish to buy and the method of payment. You can buy bitcoin from either your cash balance or a linked bank account. When you have finished, click "Preview Order" to review your purchase.
3. You will now have a chance to confirm the details of your instant buy. Once you have checked the information, click "Buy" to execute the instant buy.
4. You will see a confirmation of your purchase immediately, and if you used a bank account, the account will be charged within 2-4 business days.
